Data is a key part of AXA’s journey “from Payer to Partner”, and its transformation to a Data Driven company. To succeed in this journey, AXA Partners data strategy has been organised around 6 dimensions: Data Value, Data Usage, Data Protection & Quality, Data Platform, Data Governance and Data Culture.

The Product Owner of Data Engineering owns the Data Platform dimension that supports the others. His main role is to provide strong IT capabilities foundations and global framework constituting the AXA Partners Target Data Platform.

To reach this ambition, he is responsible for selecting, delivering, and maintaining cloud technologies, components or commodities through sustainable data operations with high level quality of service and cost-effectiveness, enabling any analytical initiatives, to provide at the end business value across AXA Partners.

AXA Partners has defined a decentralized operating model for data encouraging data teams in BUs and Regions to acquire autonomy in data usages. In that context, the Head of Data Engineering is expected to provide simple, secure, ready-to-use and common framework, to support other data teams on the operationality of their data assets, while animating the Data Engineers network.

**Who are you?**

Product Owner will use their business knowledge of operational needs and requirements, when assessing and prioritising requests and requirements received from wider business units.

The post holder will be acting as a promoter for the product in charge and its further evolution to steer the improvements in the operational claims handling activities.

The Product Owner will create and share product vision and roadmap aligned with company strategy and customer needs in collaboration with the Product Manager.

The Product owner will prioritise needs and define objectives of each iteration that take into account budget.

**What does your day-to-day look like?**
- Establish, nurture and communicate the product vision, in line with business strategy and business users‘ expectations in collaboration with the Product Manager.
- Establish clear objectives and OKRs for the product and the features added to the product. Monitor these OKR and react accordingly.
- Be the best and biggest promoted of their products both within AXA Partners organization, as well as working with external parties - like partners and prospects, under guidance of commercial department colleagues.
- Ensure that the product increments add value to the customer. Define ways to measure this and do it after the delivery to confirm the assumptions made when creating the User Stories.
- Clear, concise, continuous stakeholders management within operational community of AXA Partners organization globally.
- Provide strong support to the commercial organization of AXA Partners globally, by leading demo sessions, workshops and alike with partners and prospects alike.
- Challenge requirements from other business contributors and own the backlog by bringing in new user stories, aiming to improve customer value.
- Management of current backlog as well as incidents coming up in BAU.
- Search for new functionality that could be bringing further efficiencies and/or customer journey improvements.
- Is responsible for the Customer Experience of the product.
- Work closely with the IT owner, realization team and take day to day decisions.
- Evaluate business value and set priorities (prioritization of product backlog), fostering consensus on value from the different business representatives.
- Formalize expectations of product performance and delivered value through SLA.
- Day to day activities and responsibilities include the following:

- Evaluate the business and customer value for each stories.
- Prioritize stories (prep, development, validation).
- Keep Product Backlog clean and up to date.
- Organize preparation (workshops, deliverables)
- Attend Agile rituals.
- Assist Agile team in understanding stories.
- Answer/Solve questions & issues.
- Relay Agile team blocking questions/issues.
- Organize Validation (Users tests).
- Pronounce Story validation during sprint Review.
- Manage Report & Committees (Prepare, Animate, Minutes).
- Arbitrates on local demands.
- Manages the budget transfer requests.

**Your Profile**
Technical skills:

- Expertise in some Data building blocks (Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Factory, Azure Datalake, Spark, etc )
- You will need to be up to date with the latest industry technical standards and practices.

Desirable skills:

- Fluent in English.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and an established track record of getting things done.
- Problem solver and can do attitude.
- Data-driven and strong analytical skills.
- Understanding of complex data architectural environments.
- Scrum and Lean Startup techniques practitioner.
