Position: Quantity Surveyor Engineer / Procurement
Employer: One of the world's hottest Hotel Groups.
Contract: 12-24 months
Location: Ibiza, Spain
Key Responsibilities
- Forecast the cost of the different materials needed for the project.
- Experienced in contract review, tendering, project budgeting, costing, quantity take-offs, pre & post-quantity surveying.
- Carry out projects and site work progress inspection, monitoring, tracking, and reporting.
- Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation
- To study, evaluate, apply, and analyse the system of internal controls relating to processes, procedures, inventories, and other business domains.
- Track changes to the design and/or construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.
- Assist in preparing and implementing SOP’s, method statements, risk assessments, process improvements, BOM review, and value engineering.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-term and long-term goals; develop and implement projects and programs to assist in the accomplishment of the organizational objectives.
- Procure or agree to the services of contractors and/or subcontractors who work on the construction of the project.
**Requirements**:
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- 7 to 20 years of experience as a Quantity Surveying/Procurement Engineer, work experience in Ibiza Island is desirable and considered a plus.
- Experience in project management or working on construction projects.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated experience in the tendering phase, including the preparation of tender documents, bid evaluations, and contractor selection.
- Proven track record in quantity surveying, managing project costs, and providing accurate estimations.
- Hands-on experience in developing and managing project schedules, including resource allocation and progress monitoring.
- Extensive involvement in procurement activities, encompassing negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain optimization, with an international background in procurement and logistics.
- In-depth knowledge of project delivery processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and client requirements.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective interaction with contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
- To possess specialized knowledge of procurement in a 5-star hotel setting, especially concerning high-end finishes like marble, woodwork, FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment), and other luxury materials.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills in both Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing.
