MISSION
To supervise the quality of the components and materials received from suppliers, ensuring the quality standards defined by the Quality Plant Manager and by the Quality Purchasing Service.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS

Pay heed to problems related to incoming components or materials that can be raised at Plant Quality Meetings, and seek out a solution.

Provide support to other Quality Department service needs, in order to work in a coordinated way.

Communicate with the supplier involved in quality problems, requiring self-testing and preventive actions plans through the 8Ds methodology.

Follow-up on implementation of the preventive action plans with the supplier, inviting him/her to Plant Meetings when considered appropriate.

Ensure that the supplier or third party selects the material rejected, and that the non-compliant components and materials are physically rejected.

Verify the effectiveness of suppliers' actions.

Communicate the charges related to non-compliance or quality problems to suppliers, after the Plant's decision, through the mechanisms previously established.

Visit the supplier, even though it is not mandatory to do so systematically or to conduct process and/or system audits.

Carry out the ICP calculation (quality rate), which will need to be reported monthly to the Corporate Quality Director and to the Corporate Supplier Quality Manager.

Supervise the work of Incoming staff.

Analyze the needs of measurement tools', according to each component or material's control plan.

Ensure proper use of the Incoming and Suppliers module, and administration of the Quality System Program.

Maintain direct contact with the Corporate Supplier Quality Manager to unify technical auditing criteria and to monitor supplier performance systems.

Take part in preparing clients visits, according to the guidelines set by the Customer Support Engineer.

Ensure the Quality System in the areas for which he/she is responsible.

Participate in preparing third-party audits in his/her area of responsibility, according to the guidelines set by the audit system coordinator: Plant Quality Engineer.

Suggest improvement activities as part of the annual Plant Quality Plan, based on historical process issues, trends in data quality analysis, potential problems or future needs.

Observe Ficosa’s Code of Ethics to avoid fraudulent practices. Comply with Information Security Management System (ISMS) applicable to the job, along with the training related thereto.

Actively cooperate in maintaining, promoting and improving the OHSE and Quality department.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

**Academic background**:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar

**Languages**:
Advanced English (spoken & written)

**Experience**:
Minimum of 2 years in a similar position

OTHER SPECIFICATIONS

**Additional training**:
Knowledge of quality and environmental systems would be of additional value
