**The Project**:
Sunny Valencia has become the adopted home for a group of fast-growing start-ups that share the same core Founding team. This group consists of 5 companies all in different stages with more than 300 FTEs in total, all sharing the same building, resources, and passion for what they're doing.

The group is growing, and with this growth more opportunities are emerging We’re now actively searching for a Financial Associate to join this group of start-ups and who will take on the (administrative) financial duties with their wide-ranging. We are looking for someone who takes ownership of the finances and makes sure they are on point.

**Your Mission**:

- Ensuring the fastest service to cash cycle while maintaining healthy client relationships. (billing & collections)
- Making sure our suppliers and staff are paid correctly and on time. (accounts payable & payroll)
- Be the sparring partner of management in finding a balance between risk and growth. (FP&A / Advice)
- Update financial spreadsheets with daily transactions
- Prepare balance sheets
- Track and reconcile bank statements
- Create cost analysis reports
- Process tax payments
- Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Provide administrative support during budget preparation

**What your day-to-day could look like**:

- Billing & collections (accounts receivable management).
- Accounts payable (accounts payable & preparing payments)
- Payroll assistance (contact for payroll, support in payment process/check on payroll)
- Travel expenses (reimbursements, flights, etc)
- Accounting (everything accounting related)
- Reporting (internal, accountant contact for annual reporting)
- Taxes (VAT, contact person for corporation tax)
- Internal control (internal control; setting up a separation of functions, fraud prevention, etc.)
- FP&A (planning, budgeting, financial (cash flow) forecasting, scenario analysis)
- KPIs (key financial metrics)
- Risk management (insurances, contracts, etc.)
- Data (sparring partner for data independence, think of the design of metrics and dashboards, etc)
- Advice (applicable to the above, but especially on business performance and improvement opportunities, strategy, etc)

- BSc in Finance, Accounting, or Economics (or similar);
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role (Finance Associate, Controller, Accountant);
- Knowledge of Spanish accounting/tax rules;
- High level of English and Spanish (B2+);
- Other European languages are a plus;
- Passion for finance and a lot of energy;
- Organizational skills;
- Attention to detail and a keen eye for numerical errors.
