Booker

The Booker is responsible for maximising the revenue generated by the films distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment Spain by ensuring the distribution of our features in their geographical area and to the clients for whom they are responsible for. In constant contact with clients, the Booker will aim to optimize the exposure of the films in order to generate and exceed the budgeted revenues. In this way, the Booker actively contributes to the reputation of the studio and the films.

**Main missions and responsibilities**

**Negotiation and client relations**
- Prior to the release of each film, ensure the verbal promotion of the films, negotiate with clients the duration of exposure and rental rates to ensure the best visibility of the film to the public;
- Each week, and throughout the duration of the film's exhibition, negotiate with clients to keep the film on screen and their conditions (holdovers);
- Proposing to the client all the promotional actions for the films that contribute to the exposure and notoriety of the films: organisation of screening programs or previews, tours with the film teams;
- Logistical organisation of film crew tours in the regions concerned;
- Develop a commercial relationship enabling the identification of the client's needs and constraints; participate in professional congresses, meetings of the exhibitors' union, etc;
- Participate in the setting up of marketing material in theatres: setting up quotas by region, distribution and dispatch to theatres, follow-up of special events in theatres.

**Activity monitoring**
- Weekly monitoring of admissions for each venue, analysing the figures and determining the most appropriate holdovers;
- Update the contracts and check the figures in our monitoring systems: DEX/SW, Dicer, Interplan;
- Ensure regular reporting of commercial activity in the geographical area;
- Participate in ensuring the proper coordination of actions with the marketing department (material orders, trade marketing operations, talent tours).

**Administrative and logístical**
- Editing rental contracts on the basis of the negotiations concluded;
- Monitoring the delivery of films in digital format to ensure the proper execution of the film distribution;
- Control the generation of decryption keys;
- In collaboration with the finance teams, control the receipt slips and client debit balances;
- Ensure the creation of films and cross-references in the DEX/SW system, as well as the updating of theatrical and customer files;
- Update the digital equipment of theatres in the DICER tool;
- Distribute and dispatch Film Ads nationally in conjunction with our service providers.

**Experiences and competencies**
- Ideally 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- You have a first experience with a film distributor, a good knowledge of the film industry and its actors and are passionate about cinema.
- You have strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills with all types of contacts to build successful business relationships.
- You are proactive and assertive and enjoy working in a small team in a fast-paced environment, requiring agility, flexibility and the ability to prioritise.
- You are at ease with management tools and have a good command of IT tools.
- You are fluent in English.
