**Study Coordinator**

**Pediatric Neurology Research Group**

The Vall d'Hebron Research Institute (VHIR) is a public sector institution that promotes and develops the research, innovation

The Pediatric Neurology Research Group is mainly involved in the study of genetic diseases of the developing nervous system.

The main emphasis is on paroxysmal neurological disorders and neuromuscular disorders. A common theme across the different

projects, besides the identification of the molecular basis of several of these rare disorders, is the investigation of molecules

involved in their pathophysiological mechanisms and the effective translation of these findings into the fields of molecular

diagnosis, genetic counselling and newly developed gene or drug therapies...

The Pediatric Neurology Group at Vall d'Hebron Hospital wants to incorporate to its team a Study Coordinator to support the

clinical research on clinical trials phases II, III and IV, and will depend on both the Pediatric Neurology Research Group and the

Neurology Study Coordinator Unit.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Education and qualifications**:
**Required: -**

Bachelor Science degree (Biotechnology, Biology, Biochemist, Pharmacy, Nurse, etc).
- Training in good clinical practice and clinical trials methodology is desired.
- Good communication skills and very fluency in written and spoken English.
- Computer user level (Office package, mail).
- Knowledge on SPSS and other data base are desire.
- Organized and methodical person with high motivation and initiative.

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required: -**

Experience with SAP management program.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

**Main responsibilities and duties**:
- Coordinate phases II, III and IV clinical trial research.
- Give support to the clinical team and the Clinical Trial Coordination Unit.
- Ensure maximum adherence to the protocol avoiding deviations.
- Assist the research team in the tasks necessary for the development of studies.
- Manage patient’s agenda (treatment, medical procedure, and rehabilitation).

**Labour conditions**:
- Partial time (20 hours/week) but might be extended to a full contract if necessary.
- Immediate incorporation.
- 6 month of contract, renewable.
- Gross annual salary: 11.160,5€
