- Barcelona**What We Are Looking for**:

- ISGlobal is seeking a motivated and talented statistician who is interested in taking over and managing activities of the project BiSC. The overall project goal is to understand how Barcelona’s air pollution affects the development of the baby during pregnancy. In addition, we will make an accurate estimate of the exposure of pregnant mothers to environmental pollution, evaluating the main atmospheric pollutants, noise pollution, stress, the importance of physical activity and green spaces and we will know better the mediating function of the placenta.**Field research**:

- Environmental science, Neurosciences, epidemiology**Training and experience /Qualifications**:

- Degree on biostatistics, mathematics or equivalent.
- Completed or soon to be completed specialization studies of biostatistics or data management.

**Specific Requirements**:

- Previous experience on data management and demonstrable knowledge on data cleaning and data entry.
- Previous experience working with clinical data and working previously with birth cohorts is a plus

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and maintain the project databases
- Deliver data in a timely fashion
- Perform statistical analysis and propose adequate methods to analyse the data

**Specific Duties**:

- Prepare databases, document and keep up-to-date the data structure of the project for easy use in future research
- Carry out data cleaning and quality control
- Carry out statistical data analyses

**Auxiliar task**:

**Language level**:

- Catalan, Spanish and English working knowledge.**Conditions**:

- Duration: 12 months
- Starting date: 15/09/2023
- Contract: full time
- Salary Range: Technic II C

**Selection Process**:
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
