**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**

Technical Support
- Responsible for advanced technical repairs and critical issues on complex and key datacenter systems
- Performs repairs, coordinates site maintenance, and recommends new procedures
- Analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors

Reporting
- Reviews advanced contractual reports and activities

Site Maintenance
- Supervises the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards

Assess Alignment to Policy
- Coordinates that all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturer’s guidelines and best practices

Complexity & Problem Solving
- Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of failed components
- Provides solutions to issues in creative and effective ways
- Determines methods and procedures on new assignments
- Exercises judgment in selecting methods, evaluating, adapting of complex techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results

Collaboration & Interaction
- Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise
- Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages
- Frequently advises others on complex matters

Design
- Validates design criteria for new principal power installations

**Qualifications**
- Qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- Typically requires a minimum of proven years of related experience
- Broad knowledge of critical infrastructure i.e. UPS, generator, BMS, chillers, life safety systems
- Self-motivation and flexibility
- Ability to clearly connect with all stakeholders

Desired
- Previous data centre / critical environment experience
- HV Switching experience
- Basic understanding of Maximo, Power BI, MS-Office (Word/Excel) or similar tools
