Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Geotechnical engineer located in Madrid.
Reporting to the Structural/Thermal Staff Engineer, the Geotechnical engineer's role involves reviewing geotechnical studies and soil analysis for solar energy projects.
What a typical day looks like:
- You will review geotechnical studies and soil analysis for solar energy projects.
- You will assist in project development phase; review pertinent site information, calculations and cost estimation
- Interpret POT test results and provide recommendations based on findings.
- Design foundations and structures for solar facilities using LPile software.
- Provide construction support; RFIs and submittals.
- Assist in development of NEXTracker products, generate full understanding of NEXTracker product
- Coordinate with NEXTracker's Structural/Civil Engineers in other regions to create and update
structural and civil standards, specifications, templates, and design tools
- Manage schedule and review structural and civil engineering consultants' works
- Assist in development of expanding NEXTracker Design Services team
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- BS in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent. A Master in Civil Engineering, Structures and Foundations, or Geotechnics will be highly valued
- Thorough knowledge of engineering standards as: Eurocodes, CTE and other national codes.
- Knowledge in finite element software (RISA, STAAD, or equivalent) and analysis.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, Lpile/Allpile and other structural analysis software
- Self-motivated team player
- Passion for solar a plus
