The Site Manager coordinates and leads the assembly and commissioning process of customer projects on site. They coordinate the installation of Kardex machines and all subsystems included in the Kardex scope (hardware and software).
They act in close cooperation with the Project Manager and represent the interests of Kardex towards the customer, the customer's representatives and the Kardex suppliers. In this role they also act as the first point of contact to the customer with regards to Health & Safety and the organization of the daily business on site.
Ihre Aufgaben
Main Accountabilities (tasks and responsibilities)
- Execute site surveys prior to start of installation incl. documentation
- Coordination & supervision of the installation and commissioning of all subsystems within the Kardex scope including active participation in the assembly
- Assist the integration of all subsystems into a functioning overall system under the direction of the project manager
- Technical instruction of assigned employees as well as supervision of work progress, installation quality and results
- Knowledge of the entire system scope including all interfaces to Kardex suppliers and the customer
- Proactive on-site coordination with the customer (e.g. represent Kardex in site meetings)
- Conducting regular site meetings with internal and external parties
- Tracking the schedule and meeting milestones, proactive reporting of deviations to the project manager
- Direct reporting to the project manager
- Offload, check for correctness/completeness and transport of the Kardex equipment to the installation site
- Organization of return shipments for parts, materials, installation tools
- Proactive communication with the factory, subcontractors and the project manager
- Completeness check and functional tests of subsystems
- Assist the project manager during functional/acceptance testing and customer handover
- Filling out and submission of assembly & commissioning checklists
- Ensuring site documentation (e.g. additional services, assembly hours, site journal) and change documentation (e.g. recording of technical changes, plans, parts lists)
- Ensuring compliance with local and customer regulations as well as health and safety regulations
- Conduct Health & Safety briefings for all suppliers working on site
- Maintains constant cleanliness of the site to provide a safe work environment that ensures efficiency and quality at work
Ihr Profil
Training/Education:
- Technical education (mechanical or electrical)
- English CEFR Level B2 (advanced intermediate)
Professional Experience:
- 3 years of experience in assembly and commissioning of systems, ideally in the intralogistics automation industry
- 3 years of experience in installation or site management roles in the intralogistics automation industry
- Technician with extensive knowledge in the fields of mechanics and electrics
- Basic knowledge of frequency-controlled drives
- Basic PLC knowledge
- Preferable experience in leading installation teams
- Car driving license
- Local language skills, spoken and written (EN + SP)
- Special qualifications required by local regulations (e.g. forklift license, electrical certification, health and safety certification, medical certification)
- MS-Office knowledge
