**Job Description**:
IDIADA offers you the opportunity to develop a career in one of the worldwide leading automotive engineering companies. We are looking for new talents to join IDIADA’s powertrain virtual development team located in our HQ office in Spain.

Main tasks will include:

- Development of system-level 1D models for energy consumption simulations, focus on battery electric and fuel cell powertrain configurations.
- Model integration in cloud-based MiL environment. Implement model updates, ensure model enrichment and seek for accuracy improvements.
- Control development and software logic implementation in MATLAB/Simulink.
- Data analysis of vehicle test results for model correlation. Re-calibration and fine tuning of existing models to improve accuracy when needed.
- Development of scripts and tools in MATLAB/Simulink and Python. Automation of data pre/post processing, simulation, and reporting tasks.
- Analysis of market trends and regulatory framework affecting vehicle energy consumption and efficiency of passenger cars and heavy-duty trucks for different type of powertrains (ICE, HEV, BEV, FCEV).
- To prepare technical reports and visual presentations to summarize results, contribute to project review meetings in collaboration with other members of the simulation team.

**Qualifications**:
**Profile**:

- 1 to 3 years of experience in the automotive industry, preferably in the areas of powertrain or vehicle energy consumption simulation.
- Required computer skills: Advanced level in MATLAB/Simulink, Python scripting for data analysis and automation. Knowledge of other simulation 1D software is an asset (i.e. GT-suite, Simcenter, Amesim).
- Awareness of the regulatory framework and testing procedures applicable to heavy-duty vehicles will be an asset.
- Open, highly motivated personality with hands-on mentality, able to work autonomously as well as being part of a team in a hybrid style (office and remote).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with intellectual curiosity and the drive to investigate technical facts in-depth.

**Education**
- Master of Science or equivalent degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical Engineering.

**Languages**
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Other languages will be an asset.
