**Your mission**

As a BI Engineering Analyst, you will be responsible for providing insight and analysis into the performance of our delivery procedures and teams. You will combine your domain knowledge and experience of quantitative and statistical methods to ensure that our overall strategies become ‘data driven’ and that Sr. Managers & Directors are able to consume the reports and insights needed to align to key performance indicators.

You will be part of a team responsible for driving insight into the effectiveness, quality and finance of software engineering projects, generating the insight to drive decision-making and informing development strategies. You will be required to support across many engineering teams covering several areas of analysis, such as delivery performance, team productivity, technology alignment, among other. You will be able to understand software development concepts and terminology and interpret the data to report to leadership.

**What you'll do**
- Structure, analyze and report on performance from data extraction (SQL), to integration of new data sources and statistical analysis (Python) to visualization (Tableau or other visualization tool).
- As part of the Business Intelligence team, develop and implement best practice methodologies for the quantitative analysis & visualization of data.
- Work with Engineering to define and measure the key behaviors within services, identify key data points and how they relate to broader engineering strategies.
- Define and measure business success, OKR accomplishment, quality metrics, standards and reporting.
- Lead meeting with users and technical architects to gather requirements.
- Design conceptual data model in order to depict new solutions along with logical data model.
- Carry out analysis of the existing data sources and business processes to determine the construction and testing time of a data product to be deployed.
- Perform hands-on analysis in support of business requests, including development of conclusions and recommendations.
- Understand the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry.
- Identify client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement
- Assist in enforcement of project deadlines and schedules.

**What you'll bring**
- Degree educated or equivalent experience, preferably in STEM areas (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering or Operations Research)
- Personable character and a good communicator - ability to communicate complex, technical concepts to non-technical staff
- Experience in Business Intelligence, reporting & visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, PowerBI) an asset
- Proven insight domain knowledge (e.g.: customer 360 view, financial analysis, process effectiveness)
- +2 years of experience working on SQL relational database knowledge and Excel skills
- Data manipulation, modelling and analysis skills
- Experience transforming data using Python at least of 1 year
- This position requires limited International travel

**Nice to have**:

- Experience working with PostgreSQL and API data integration projects
- Experience working with software engineering teams
