**About the role**:

As a Cloud Architect, you will play a pivotal role in our team, designing, developing, and optimizing cloud solutions to meet the needs of our clients while focusing on the best practices in cloud technologies and architectures.

As a Cloud Architect your responsibilities include:

- Play an instrumental role in the design, development, and maintenance of different state-of-the-art data cloud architectures.
- Be part of a multidisciplinary team implementing CI/CD and cloud infrastructure by using Terraform.
- Analyse cloud services, detect different strengths and limitations, comparing the services to define which is the best strategy for processing data as well as staying updated with the latest trends and best practices in cloud technologies and architectures.
- Implement and oversee data security measures, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations in highly regulated environment.
- Design and implement robust, scalable solutions for our clients in the pharmaceutical industry, leveraging cloud technologies with the harmony of AI.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Lead the integration of various data sources and systems, ensuring seamless data flow and accessibility.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create proof of concepts (PoCs) and demonstrate technical feasibility of proposed solutions.

On top of this, you have the following competences:

- A bachelor’s degree in: Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in solution architecture/cloud engineering, with a deep focus on cloud solutions and data integration. (Azure is a high plus but solid knowledge of AWS and/or GCP are also considered).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Strong ability to adapt quickly to customer custom infrastructure and contribute effectively to their specific needs and challenges.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
- Expertise in designing microservices and serverless architectures.
- Experience with API design and integration to support data sharing across platforms.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Experience in agile methodologies and project delivery frameworks.
- Strong programming and scripting skills (e.g. Python, SQL, bash).

It will be a plus if you have these additional capabilities:

- Experience with Azure OpenAI resources.
- Experience with life science specific upstream source systems e.g. Veeva.
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Experience with SDKs and APIs for integrating third-party services and customizing platform functionalities.
- Relevant certifications e.g. AZ-303, AZ-304, SAA-C03, SAP-C01 etc.
