**About the role**:
As a Commercial Data Analyst, you will play a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of the Commercial team, and in Mews's long-term success as a business. By leveraging your analytical prowess, you will play a significant role in our ongoing mission to revolutionize the hospitality industry with innovative solutions. This role places you at the heart of our strategy to make hospitality more rewarding for everyone, where your insights and analysis will directly influence our path forward.

As part of the Commercial Operations team, you will report to the Senior Manager of Commercial Operations. You will also become a part of the wider Business Analytics team at Mews that includes all data and analytics teammates that support Mews's Go-to-Market operations. You will collaborate with your team and other teams and individuals across the organization to understand the business's needs, prioritize your work according to the highest impact, and drive major outcomes and deliverables.

Your day-to-day tasks will involve pulling data from diverse systems, manipulating, and analyzing this data to unearth performance insights and actionable intelligence. These crucial insights will guide senior Commercial leadership in decision-making, helping to spotlight potential risks and uncover opportunities for the business. ** Your mission, should you choose to accept it**:

- Extract, analyse, and interpret large and complex data sets. Support the Commercial team by providing insights that inform strategies and track performance.
- Work alongside teams within the Commercial organization, including Enterprise, Partnerships, and Business Development, assisting with internal reporting, dashboard creation, and automations.
- Conduct ad-hoc data analysis and reporting utilizing technologies such as SQL, Python, and Excel, presenting findings to stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities and drive the automation of processes and procedures to enhance team and overall business performance.
- Collaborate effectively with the Commercial team to prioritize and manage incoming work requests, ensuring timely delivery of high-impact projects.

**️ You'll be a great fit if you bring a few of the below with you**:

- Demonstrated experience in an analytical role within a commercial or customer-facing organization
- A proven track record of analyzing data and generating actionable insights that have a significant impact on business outcomes
- Strong analytical skills are necessary, with the ability to organize, analyze, and present data effectively, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong understanding of SQL query language, capable of conducting complex data manipulation and analysis
- Great dashboard
- and report-building skills. Experience with visualizing data using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker is preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, impactful insights and stories
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- An understanding of Hospitality Technology, SaaS, or hotel operations is beneficial but not essential. A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies is key.
- Another bonus, but not requirement, is basic to intermediate proficiency in Python for data analysis, with the ability to automate repetitive tasks and analyze data sets
