**_The Hangar Sup role includes:_**
- _Responsible for the control and standards of performance of the maintenance department_
- _Responsible for the day to day administrative disciplines the engineering team_
- _Oversee the work on both aircraft and in the support departments _
- _Endeavour to improve the efficiency of the staff under their control and to implement effective measures to reduce man hour costs_
- _Ensure that the stores procedures are adhered to providing timely and approved spares for support of the maintenance activity _
- _Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the hangar _
- _Control of the aircraft spares shortage list and the authorisation of orders being placed for high cost spare parts._
- _Actively take part in aircraft maintenance duties or conduct certifying and support staff activities (if applicable) within the scope of their approval as required and directed by the Base Maintenance Manager._
- _Control of working time and over time for the engineering team_
- _Audit of Hangar and Facilities in accordance with Company Procedures_
- _Meet weekly with Management and provide a detailed weekly report_
- _Allocate _engineering staff to cover maintenance services activities in out-of-hours circumstances to contracted customers_
- _Assist with planning scheduled maintenance_
- _Promote SMS principles in the hangar _
- _Arranging and managing aircraft Pre-Check input meetings to ensure that there are adequate resources available to meet the customer’s requirements, and to keep the Base Maintenance Manager fully informed especially if there are any shortfalls_
- _Ensure that the aircraft documentation is completed in accordance with the company procedures_
- _Control and discipline of the staff_
- _Ensure that the staff adhere to their contracted working hours and start times_
- _Maintain a high standard of appearance of their staff, premises, vehicles and equipment_
- _Assist with the training and development of the staff_
- _Ensure all work carried out by staff under their supervision complies with the Regulatory Authority and Company Procedures in force at the time of the work carried out_
- _Ensure all documentation is completed correctly before the work day/shift ends and a detailed hand over of any work in progress is completed_
- _Respond to Quality deficiencies in the area of activity for which they are responsible, which arise from independent quality audits. _
- Ensuring that Tooling and Ground Support equipment is controlled and maintained to a serviceable condition.
- _Ensuring, through the work force under his/her control that the quality of workmanship in the final product is to the standard acceptable to the organisation and EASA._
- _Provide support and assistance to the Check Supervisors in ensuring that a high standard of control and standard of workmanship is achieved._
- _Carrying out any other tasks as reasonably required by the Base Maintenance Manager_

**Requirements**:

- _Must be an _**_EASA Part 66 qualified B1 License_**_ holder as a minimum_ or Aeronautical Engineering Degree_
- _Must hold a Type rated Aircraft Engineer position or equivalent level within another organization or Aeronautical Engineering Degree_
- _B737-800 type rating will be a plus_
- _8 - 10 years’ experience, preferably hangar based_
- _Must have supervisory experience_
