Job summary
Amazon EU Amazon Logistics Central Operations(EUCO) is looking for a for a highly analytical and customer-obsessed Shift Manager within the Short Term Volume Management(STVM) team. STVM is a team currently under formation with a mandate to drive improved day to day network management for EU AMZL with a focus on speed, customer experience, efficiency and attainment helping AMZL become the number one parcel carrier for EU. As the team is still under creation this an opportunity to come in and help shape a new business area within AMZL. The EUCO STVM Shift Manager will help drive operational excellence on a day to day basis and work with internal and external stakeholders to develop best - in - class processes and tools to drive optimal volume flow through the European AMZL network as well as.
As a STVM Shift Manager, you will be part of a team that drives performance on day to day operations and projects for EU CO. Your role will be to focus on key KPIs such as forecast accuracy for volumes, SPR, on road minutes, cycle adherence in stations and more. Process adherance/improvement will play a key role in deliverables to both our Delivery Station and Delivery Service Partner Management team. You will be responsible and be accountable for daily metrics. You will be accountable for driving program scoping, roll out and compliance/monitoring and stakeholder experience.
In addition, as EUCO sits at the crux of multiple Amazon teams you will be instrumental in developing best practices and standard work for the existing and expanded EU network including new country launches.
**Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for last-mile customer experience, last-mile cost- Use data-driven decision making to achieve daily operational excellence.- Make decisions and execute in a fast-paced environment.- Leverage quantitative analysis to identify best practices that improve customer, cost, and delivery partner outcomes- Develop processes and systems to achieve metrics, often requiring scrappy solutions to temporarily overcome technical limitations. The ability to scale will be critical to all processes- Serve as a problem solver and primary escalation point for the team of associates- Maintain a full understanding of workflow and daily metrics goals- Review and update SOPs as required- Identify and address safety hazards within the work Shift, and participate in safety initiatives- Provide vacation coverage for Shift Managers- Ensure successful performance in your business Shift through tracking and reporting metrics
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, and/or prior Amazon experience.- Experience taking part in a kaizen or Shingi event in a similar environment.- Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical skills.- Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) across various levels of an organization.- History of meeting/exceeding departmental goals.- Experience leading teams.- Capable of providing direction to team members using independent judgment.- Organization and time management skills.- You are leader and exhibit that every day.- You can make decisions and execute in a fast-paced environment.- You don’t hesitate to use data in difficult conversations.- You enjoy analytical work and using data to provide thought-provoking and workable solutions.
