What is the role about?

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate security measures across technologies used by engineering teams.
- Facilitate the adoption of security standards and practices across engineering.
- Compose internal security guidelines, and present and explain them to developers.
- Engage in security war games to identify risks and fortify our security.
- Provide support for monitoring and incident response efforts.
- Conduct continuous market research of cloud security products and open-source tools.

**Technical/Professional qualification**:

- 2+ years of experience within Cyber Security.
- Demonstrable expertise in securing cloud-based IT systems and services, preferably Google Cloud Platform.
- Container technologies, preferably Docker and k8s.
- Coding/scripting skills, preferably Python, Go or Javascript.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tooling, e.g. Terraform/Ansible/Pulumi.
- Knowledge of web authentication principles such as JWT, OIDC, or mTLS.

**Nice to have knowledge**:

- Datadog
- Grafana (+ Loki, Mimir)
- Hashicorp Vault
- Open Policy Agent
- CIS Benchmarks (or a similar methodology)
- Rancher
- Cloudflare

**Personal/Leadership skills**:

- Strong sense of ownership
- Ability to work with vague/incomplete instructions
- Confident communication skills
