**Company Overview**

**Role overview**:
Working as a key member of the purchasing department, as a Commodity Buyer, you will be responsible for supporting activities within the commodity team to ensure the achievement of the saving target, as well as developing and implementing strategies for supplier management.

Working within the E-Systems team and reporting directly to the Commodity Manager, this position will be based in Valls, Tarragona.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Support development and implementation of the Tooled components strategy and own daily actions
- Single contact for suppliers and cross functional teams for all Tooled components activities in Europe
- Develop new commodity suppliers according to the strategy and follow up their implementation within Lear
- Achieve savings commodity target through negotiation and Supplier Cost Technical Optimization (SCTO) implementation
- Support entire Product life cycle from Customer new programs award stages through mass production and until End of Life
- Lead regional Tooled components commodity initiatives including sourcing new and existing Tooled components spend (RFQ, benchmarking, negotiations rounds, offers and scenarios analysis to present sourcing proposal, resourcing, annual negotiations and special initiatives, etc.)
- Support development for regional commodity and supplier strategies
- Align objectives, strategy, actions with plants, program teams and the Commodity Manager
- Organize and coordinate supplier workshops with Engineering to work on cost reduction ideas and their execution
- Ensure sourcing / process and Global procedures compliance and Delegation of Authority (DOA) through SRM, SAP and Coupa systems
- System maintenance with pricelist updates, supplier contracts, parts homologations and other daily administrative tasks
- Maintaining good knowledge of the current market and future trends to support identification of alternative sources
- Support plants on logistic and quality problems with suppliers

**Key Skills**
