We are looking for a **Digital HAZOP & Senior Consultant** to join our Risk Management Consulting team located in Barcelona. Our Risk Management Consulting team helps our clients to manage and reduce risk across their complex operations. We support owners and operators of complex, high-risk and capital-intensive assets, and their supply chains, ensuring the right solutions are in place to control risk and prepare for emergencies.

We work in partnership with owners and developers of energy, power and complex industrial assets and infrastructure, to interpret and manage complexity, reduce project risk, and optimise asset performance. We provide independent perspectives, deep domain expertise and engineering excellence.

In the role of** Digital HAZOP & Senior Consultant **you will:

- Contribute to the development of our Digital HAZOP Software (HAZOP Assistant) and support the delivery of digital HAZOPs to new facilities and existing operations.
- Support CLIENT process safety and operability review workshops such as HAZID, HAZOP, digital HAZOP, SIL, BowTie, FMEA, alarm management, SIMOPS, etc.
- Identify Major Accident Hazards (MAH), Major Accident Events (MAEs) and Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) and develop Performance Standards.
- Perform risk assessments, Quantitative Risk Assessments (QRAs) for both Onshore and Offshore industry.
- Perform consequence (2D and/or 3D) modelling, fire and explosion safety and structural integrity studies, as well as ESSAs & EERAs.
- Perform Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies.
- Support our consultancy delivery in the areas of PSM & HSE Management Systems, Emergency Preparedness and Emergency Response Plans.
- Deliver barrier management studies with our digital tools.
- Perform third-party verifications/audits.

To be successful in the role of **Digital HAZOP & Senior Consultant** we are looking for you to have:

- A master's degree within engineering or related e.g., chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, process/risk management.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within oil and gas, (petro)chemicals or the energy industry.
- Consulting, engineering, or operator experience within oil and gas, (petro)chemicals or the energy industry, preferably in process engineering or process safety roles.
- Process simulation and digital twin experience will be a plus.
- A basic understanding of process safety and risk management activities related to greenfield and brownfield projects.
- At least 5 years´ experience in functional safety including HAZOP, SIL, FMEA, Bowtie and alarm management studies.
- An experienced understanding engineering documentation such as PIDs, PFDs, H&MBs, C&E Charts and SRS.
- Knowledge and experience in green hydrogen and ammonia facilities and in offshore oil and gas is a plus.
- The availability to travel for project delivery.
- Fluency in Spanish language and English. A third language is an advantage.
- The ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and work well in a team.
