- The Barcelona Supercomputing Center - Centro Nacional de Supercomputación (BSC-CNS) is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. It houses MareNostrum, one of the most powerful supercomputers in Europe, was a founding and hosting member of the former European HPC infrastructure PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe), and is now hosting entity for EuroHPC JU, the Joint Undertaking that leads large-scale investments and HPC provision in Europe. The mission of BSC is to research, develop and manage information technologies in order to facilitate scientific progress. BSC combines HPC service provision and R&D into both computer and computational science (life, earth and engineering sciences) under one roof, and currently has over 900 staff from 55 countries.

**Context And Mission**
- Considering Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, potential risks, and limitations, AI4CCAM will develop an open environment for integrating trustworthy-by-design AI models of vulnerable road user behaviour anticipation in urban traffic conditions and accounting for improved road safety and user acceptance. Leveraging the Trustworthy AI guidelines for general intelligent software systems and the recommendations of the ethics for connected automated vehicles, AI4CCAM will support AI-based scenarios management in which pedestrian/cyclist behaviour anticipation models will integrate visual gaze estimation and where explainable ego car trajectory prediction models are simulated with ethical dilemmas and multiplied with generative adversarial networks and metamorphic testing techniques.
- The purpose is to give technical support to the WP3 devoted to ELSEC AI activities, particularly to identify, report and assess ethical risks related to the CCAM environment and define evaluation methods.**Key Duties**
- Support in ELSEC AI activities in the field of AI in CCAM.
- Coordinate participatory methods with use case providers and AI developers.
- Develop a methodology to identify, report and measure ethical risks and dilemmas of connected and autonomous vehicles.
- Work in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Contribute to project deliverables.

**Requirements**:

- Education
- Master in Artificial Intelligence with a background in computer sciences or related fields such as mathematics or physics
- Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of ELSEC methodologies
- Demonstrable knowledge of AI and ML methods
- Familiar in the design, implementation and deployment of AI-based systems
- Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Competences
- Strong personal soft-skills sets: Communicative, enthusiastic, highly collaborative, proactive, self-driven
- Strong technical writing skills
- Ability to work independently
- Good writing and presentation skills

**Conditions**
- The position will be located at BSC within the Computer Sciences Department
- We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
- Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
- Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
- Starting date: 15/2/2024
