Sln Technician

ICFO is offering a staff researcher position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to enhance his/her scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment.

The main responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to) the following:
To increase and improve the benefits and performance of the SLN by an adequate management and maintenance of advanced imaging instrumentation, such as:

- Super resolution microscopes (STED, STORM, SIM)
- Confocal and non-linear microscopes
- Light sheet (rapid 3D visualization)
- Raman
- AOSLO

Participation in all SLN facility activities, supporting both research and users:

- Inspection and maintenance of the microscopes including peripheral hardware (PCs, lasers, etc.)
- Measurement of the optical efficiency of the different systems and carrying out corrective actions,
- General management of the users, the laboratory and the different microscopes.
- Improving protocols of quality and efficiency in the operation of the microscopes and in general in a more reliable, efficient and agile service of the degree of activity SLN.
- Manage the web and database
- Keep a database of components
- Sample preparation
- Verification of compliance with security standards for users.
- User training
