Highly prestigious British educational center, looking for assistant classroom teachers. We value teachers of British/Irish origin, as well as those from the US or Australia and also European or Spanish teachers with full competence in English (i.e. level C1/C2.

Our school is offering a high quality British education to students of all nationalities. We are now recruiting for a Key Stage 2 teacher to start as soon as possible.

Teachers in our schools work together to provide an exceptional standard of British education to our students enabling them to succeed and develop their education in universities in the United Kingdom, Spain and elsewhere in the world. Our schools are independent and co-educational centres.

Our schools are sited in Alzira and Gandia (Valencia)

On site facilities in all our schools include a library, tennis courts, swimming pools, an ICT suite, ballet room, indoor PE area and shaded outdoor play areas.

Staff work together across all our schools to provide a consistent learning experience for our pupils.

OUR SCHOOLS

Teachers in our schools work together to provide an exceptional standard of British education to our students enabling them to succeed and develop their education.

British School Alzira is an independent, co-educational school situated in a stunning mountain location 40km to the south of Valencia, Spain. With easy access to the Mediterranean coast we provide an educational environment second to none.

British School Xativa opened in September 2009. Set in extensive grounds beneath the historic castle of Xativa it provides a modern, bright and spacious learning environment.

British School Gandia, opened in September 2015, currently provides education from Pre-Nursery through to Year 9. Set in the coastal resort of Gandia the school is growing rapidly.

On site facilities in all our schools include a library, tennis courts, swimming pools, an ICT suite, ballet room, indoor PE area, shaded outdoor play areas, science laboratories and generously proportioned classrooms.

Staff work together across the three schools to provide a consistent learning experience for our pupils.

OUR MOST IMPORTANT ASSET - OUR STAFF

All teachers are offered a full-time permanent contract from day one of working in our schools.

We have our own internal pay structure with our salary set significantly above the national salary for teachers in Spain. In addition, we have an incremental system that enables teachers who remain with us to receive an increased salary each year. For further details of our salary system please see the ‘Welcome Pack’.

Benefits for teachers include free education fees for children, an annual flight allowance and work based private medical insurance.

We also support teaching staff with all aspects of relocation. This includes a pastoral care administrator to register our teachers within the Spanish social security and health system. This person deals with all aspects of relocation including finding accommodation and supporting teachers in any aspect of their life here in Spain.

INTERVIEW PROCEDURE

C1/C2 English - full proficiency in the language.

University Degree / FP in education / psychology

Teaching experience (more than 2 years in early childhood/primary education preferred).

**Other qualifications required for British Curriculum**:
Experience in British Education System EYFS / KS1 / KS2

Work permit to work in Spain

Enthusiasm and high expectations for all pupils;
English as a first language. (There is no requirement for our teachers to speak Spanish.)
