The Ops Team is the main contact for our customers and acts as a link between all our service providers, who have been selected on the basis of quality of service, responsiveness and reliability. In France, the Ops team is composed of 25 people. We are launching this department in Spain so be one of the first one to take part of the adventure

What does it mean to be a Senior Ops Manager at OVRSEA?*

The Ops Manager communicates in real time with the customer concerning the evolution of the transport, informs him on the important stages, guides him in case of constraints and hazards and is a force of proposal if the situation requires it.
He is also in daily contact with the different service providers chosen (in general 4 to 5 service providers are necessary for an import*: an agent in a foreign country, the shipping company, the customs declarant, and the carrier*) and acts as a link between all the parties involved throughout the duration of the transport.
These missions will be the main ones within the first year. The senior ops manager will then lead the team, by recruiting new talents and monitoring performance and service quality.

Transport operations for large imports or exports (70%)*
- Supporting a portfolio of customers
- Carrying out air, sea, road and rail transport
- Customer advice and problem solving in a proactive manner

**Development, structuring and strategy (30%)**
- Relationship and negotiation with carriers and agents worldwide
- Increasing the knowledge of the team (research and writing of articles)
- Operational strategy

After 1st year:

- Monitoring of ops managers (performance, quality of service, career development)
- Organisation of operational work
- Litigation management (resolution of major customer issues)

**Profile**
- You are native speaker in Spanish
- Experienced (5-10 years) in the transportation industry, digital FF or other. Preferred expertise in Ocean vs. Air and procurement skills with suppliers
- Willingness to be an Individual Contributor first and soon Team Leader
- Demonstrated adaptability and proven appetite for the Ops
- You think solutions rather than problems, and you are able to take initiative
- You are passionate, you have a builder spirit, and want to give your all in an exciting entrepreneurial adventure
