**Job Title: Consultant Dermatologist**

***Location**: Galway, Ireland at two provider locations**

***Type of Contract**: Permanent POCC**

***Salary**: €217,235 to €261,051**

**Job Summary**:
Sagesa Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Dermatologist to join our client's dynamic and dedicated Dermatology Department. As a Consultant Dermatologist, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical care to patients with dermatological conditions, contributing to the development and implementation of clinical policies, and participating in the education and training of medical staff.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Clinical Excellence**:

- Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Provide expert advice on the treatment and management of complex dermatological cases.
- Perform dermatological procedures and surgeries as required.

2. **Collaboration and Teamwork**:

- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss and coordinate treatment plans for patients.
- Provide mentorship and support to junior medical staff within the Dermatology Department.

3. **Policy and Procedure Development**:

- Contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures within the Dermatology Department.
- Implement evidence-based practices to enhance the quality of patient care.

4. **Education and Training**:

- Actively participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Stay abreast of advancements in dermatology through continuous professional development.

5. **Research and Audit**:

- Engage in research activities and contribute to the advancement of dermatological knowledge.
- Participate in clinical audits to assess and improve the quality of care provided.

6. **Quality Improvement**:

- Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives within the Dermatology Department and the hospital as a whole.
- Provide input on strategies to enhance patient satisfaction and experience.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Medical degree and ability to obtain Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council. We will assist with this process.
- Specialist qualification in Dermatology recognized by the Irish Medical Council.
- High level of English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
