**_Accounting Assistant_**

**_ San Fernando, CA_**

**_ Direct Hire_**

**_ Monday thru Friday - 8am to 5pm_**

**_ $20hr to $22hr depending on experience._**

A thriving development, design, construction, leasing, and property management focused on creating high-quality projects with true design authenticity and close attention to detail is looking for an Office Manager to join their team in San Fernando.

**_ Summary:_** The accounting assistant will work closely with the senior and staff accounting team to process payments by receiving, organizing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, and will also assist in other accounting-related functions and office operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness company-wide.

**_ Responsibilities:_**
- Answers general office calls.
- Opens and routes mail.
- Responsible for general accounting activities, including recording of all payments and checks.
- Assists in preparing and processing all vendor invoices via Yardi.
- Enters and deposits all payments in Yardi.
- Reconciles and allocates invoices (billbacks).
- Issues checks and delivers to appropriate personnel for signatures.
- Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries timely.
- Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of insurance, reviewing invoices and billing statements, and resolving discrepancies.
- Files and maintains electronic vendor.
- Ensures proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
- Assists with 1099 year end.
- Office management (supplies, kitchen, manages office janitorial)
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Assists Property Management and Asset Manager as needed.

**_ Qualifications:_**
- Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel (proficient-advanced)
- Accounts Payable: 2 years. (required)
- Accounts Receivables: 2 years. (required)
- Yardi Voyager: 2 years. (required)
- Real Estate/Property Management Accounting Experience.
- Real estate and property management background (ideal)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and function well in a high-paced environment.
- Proven ability to maintain high level of confidential and sensitive information.
- High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.
- Certified Accounts Payable Professional (CAPP) certification preferred.
