- Local contract**This role is based at our new TUI BLUE Puerto Banus, Marbella, Spain.**
- Join TUI BLUE Hotels as Financial Controller who is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, such as preparation and management of the hotel, financial budgets, payroll, implementing and overseeing all activities relating to the financial aspects of the hotel in compliance with local and federal tax laws and the Group and Local SOPs.

**ABOUT THE JOB**
- Work with the General/Hotel Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel.
- Responsible for providing ethical and consistent leadership in the financial area of the hotel by supplying management with guidance, training and support.
- Responsible for focusing on the profitability of the business, manage business risks and maintain accurate and timely financial reporting.
- The main interface and first point of contact to the local staff and the syndicates,
- Ensure acceptable levels of internal and external controls are compliance with all federal and local regulations.
- Prepare capital reviews as required by the Management and ownership.
- Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency.
- Lead monthly finance update meetings with General Manager, Hotel team and ownership.
- Implement, administer and comply with TUI Blue policies and procedures consistently and efficiently.
- Review and reconcile the balance sheets regularly. Ensure reconciliations are performed on monthly basis.
- Directs financial planning and strategy, manage debts and receivable and maintain financial position by monitoring expenditures, cashflow and evaluating investments.
- Verify all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
- Assists in the building of an efficient and professional team of employees within Finance and Accounting Department.
- Oversee internal, external and government regulatory audit processes.
- Conduct regular finance department meetings.
- Celebrates successes by publicly recognising the contributions of team members.
- Provides excellent leadership by differentiates top performers, fosters teamwork and also able to encourages work/life balance.
- Participates in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
- Any other tasks as and when required by the management.

**ABOUT YOU**
- **Qualified Charted Accountant (CA) or Similar or bachelor’s degree in finance and accounting or similar field.**:

- **Preferably native Spanish with understanding of Andalusia region. Advanced English is also required. Other European languages would be advantageous.**:

- Very good knowledge of Spanish labour law.
- Proven finance management experience with the ability to support the day-to-day financial operations in an up-scale (4/5 Star) hotel resort.
- User knowledge of Back office or accounting systems like Sun, SAP, Sage, Freshbooks, Oasys etc.
- Experience with Hotel Software or Property Management Systems like OPERA, Protel, Micros etc.
- Clear and strong communication skills with the ability to negotiate with key stakeholders.
- Excellent financial/business decision making.
- Analytical skills and very well organised.
