**Your work environment**:
We currently have a vacancy for a Shift Manager, based in Sagunto (Valencia, Spain).
Reporting to the Production Manager, with a Safety and Quality mindset, you will focus on the production process and implement continuous improvement activities and good practices.
**Your mission in Crown**:
- Ensure that all activities performed under your coordination complies with EHS and Quality standards by conveying the content, policies and norms regarding EHS&Quality and Food Safety systems.
- Be a driving force in the Safety culture, helping on the continuous improvement of the current system.
- Lead, mentor and coach your direct reports. Build and maintain a trusting relationship with the team; communicate and regularly feedback about performance expectations.
- Coordinate all available resources under your responsibility to ensure meeting KPI´s related to EHS, Quality and Production.
- Monitor the planning and status of orders to properly coordinate resources for label changes, maintenance, and format changes.
- Properly allocate available resources to ensure the completion on scheduled preventive maintenance during the shift.
- Monitor and gather relevant information about events during the shift to create a clear report with all relevant information.
- Facilitate and ensure the effectiveness of all communications from the Business to all people on his/her shift.
- Supervise and collaborate in carrying out trials, especially of raw materials.
- Inspect the lines during the shift to ensure compliance with the production schedule and quality as well as issuing maintenance repair bulletins.
- Examine any issue or deviations occurred during the shift and take the necessary corrective actions.
- Actively participate in and lead, when necessary, the implementation of continuous improvement projects related to EHS, quality, and/or production/processes, collaborating with other departments.
- Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and actively participate in 5S projects.
**About you**:
- You have a BA in Industrial Engineering and additional training in Occupational Risk Prevention and Food Safety. Ideally, with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience within the manufacturing sector in a supervisory role acquired ideally in high speed FMCG industries.
- This is a pivotal role in the plant and as such you will require outstanding communication skills to manage communications and feedback to employees and managers alike. A team player, you are process oriented with good supervision, problem-solving and analytical skills
- You demonstrate evidence of working productively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines whilst demonstrating attention to detail and high quality performance
- Besides Spanish, written and spoken English is mandatory, with good organization skills, able to set priorities and keep deadlines. You are a proficient user of MS Office
- We expect you to work with flexibility, on shift pattern, in all lines
