The Oncology Medical Training (OMT) function at AstraZeneca lies at the heart of our commitment to improving patient outcomes. As the Oncology EdTech and Innovations Architect, you will play a critical role in this function by leading the development and implementation of avant-garde educational technologies and learning solutions. Your expertise will be vital in transforming our Medical Affairs teams' approach to training and development through digital innovation, ensuring that every initiative is effective, engaging, and translates into tangible improvements in real-world clinical practice.

In this role, you will leverage your strong foundation in user experience and behavioural psychology to design immersive and impactful learning experiences. Your analytical prowess will be key to assessing the effectiveness of new training systems and measuring user engagement. **Strategy and Development**
- Lead the development of educational technology strategies to enhance Medical Affairs training in oncology.
- Design and implement innovative learning solutions and gamified modules to simplify complex concepts and improve retention.

**Content and Platform Management**
- Produce a variety of digital content, including videos, podcasts, and simulations, for different learning preferences.
- Optimize Learning Management Systems to improve functionality and user experience.
- Develop user-centric interfaces for GenAI platforms to facilitate content creation for Oncology Medical Training team.

**Technology Integration and User Experience**
- Integrate and test emerging technologies, such as AI, VR/AR, and mobile learning, to enhance educational experiences.
- Provide hypercare support during the transition to new digital tools, ensuring smooth adoption and troubleshooting.

**Collaboration and Engagement**
- Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate insights into the continuous improvement of learning materials.

**Analytics and Impact Assessment**
- Utilize analytics to assess program effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
- Implement robust assessment frameworks to measure engagement and learning outcomes.
- Establish systems for data management, allowing for easy access, retrieval, and analysis to inform iterative development.
- Evaluate real-world impact by defining and measuring improvements in performance and professional practice among medical professionals.

**Research and Market Awareness**
- Conduct ongoing research, including direct feedback and passive data collection, to understand user interaction with digital media.
- Stay updated on EdTech trends and advancements to ensure AstraZeneca leads in medical education.

**Education and Experience**
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, UX Design, or related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in developing or supporting the development of technological solutions within enterprise architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience in developing and managing digital learning initiatives within the corporate environment.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with LMS administration and content creation.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing technology transition support and hypercare.

Desirable:

- Master’s degree or advanced certification in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in educational technology or instructional design, with a preference for those who have worked specifically in healthcare.
- Experience with continuous improvement cycles and iterative development (2+ years preferred).
- Experience in evaluating real-world outcomes and impact of educational programs (3+ years preferred).

**Skills and Capabilities**
- Certifications or proven expertise in educational software, authoring tools, and LMS platforms.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in UX design principles and behavioural psychology
