About us

BCN-Kinder is a non-profit organisation founded in 2002 as a parents’ association.

Our international nursery was initiated by a group of German and Catalan parents looking for a multilingual and pedagogic alternative to mainstream education. We offer two groups to a total of 30 children aged between 10 months and 5 years. Our team is made up of 5 permanent educators plus alternating interns, who together educate, nurture and care for the children.

**Responsibilities**
- Administrative and organisational tasks including; Complete lesson planning

and outings with the children
- Organising learning materials and resources
- Using various activities and instructional methods (songs, stories, structured

games and outdoor activities) to motivate and stimulate the children
- Monitor children’s interactions and nurture cooperation and sharing
- Collaboration with parents and the Board
- Day to day upkeep of the classrooms
- Follow and implement teaching standards

**Job requirements**
- Degree/ Qualification within the infant educational field
- Experience working within a Kindergarten
- Excellent knowledge of child development and the latest educational

theories
- Structured working method, organisational talent
- Great sense of responsibility, reliability
- Excellent professional and social skills, empathy and strong communication

skills
- Positive and proactive attitude (can-do attitude)

Language requirements: Native German or Native Spanish
