A vacancy for a Combat-Avionics Systems Test Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Madrid Area.

The successful applicant will join tho the Engineering Weapon Integration / EW / Datalinks SP Department.

The position will be based in the Airbus facilities in Torrejón Airbase (CLAEX):

- The Systems Under Test (SUT) in the CLAEX will cover Communication Systems (including MIDS L16), Electronic Warfare systems (ECM/ESM, Chaff & Flare, Missile Warner, Laser Warner, etc.), Weapon systems (Armament Computers, Station Units, AMRAAM, ASRAAM, Gun, LDP, GBUs, METEOR, etc.), Monitoring and Recording systems, Displays & Controls, Radios UHF/VHF, Navigation Systems (GPS, LINS, DME-P, MMR, RADALT) and Attack and Identification systems (RADAR, IFF, FLIR). The work is related to the Eurofighter program and is performed at the Overall Avionics Systems Integration Rig

**Tasks & accountabilities**

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include mainly Rig Testing activities but occasional support may also be requested for aircraft testing campaigns, as follows:
1.. Creation and maintenance of Rig Test Cases/Procedures aligned with the target systeM/Functionality under test as established by the Program and/or Customer.

2.. Preparation of datasets necessary for the run time test execution (Rig UWA definitions (User Work

Areas), Misión Data preparation, Initialisation data files, test scenario files, etc)

3.. Operation of the Rig and lab equipment during run time lab test phases

4.. Online & offline test results analysis using databus and video recording tools (1553B, EFABUS, EFEX, Ethernet, ARINC429, etc)

5.. Creation of Test Results documentation (Rig Test Reports)

6.. Investigation of system failures and creation of failure reports documentation (System Problem Reports)

7.. Creation and maintenance of automation scripts (for rig test execution and analysis) in VB, VB. Net, MathLab ATL, MaTE, SEAS, etc

8.. Perform Rigs HW/Sw configuration checks

9.. Perform Application Software loading to the Rig LRIs

10.. Support to qualification of the new or modified Rig modules

11.. Support to the preparation and gathering of formal system qualification documentation

12.. Generation and maintenance of Rig Requirements Specifications and Simulation Specifications

**Required Skills**:

- Masters Degree
- Around 1 - 3 years of Experience in similar positions
- Advanced level in English
