**The Role**:
As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role within our dynamic and passionate engineering team, contributing to the software development process of Europe's fastest-growing lottery platform. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, you will lead a dedicated team of engineers, focusing on a specific business domain. As a key member of the domain leadership group, you will collaborate closely with representatives from Product, User Experience, Delivery, and Architecture to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

**What you will do**:

- **Technical Leadership**: Provide technical leadership within your domain, establishing standards, processes, and best practices to ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality software solutions.
- **Team Leadership**: Lead, mentor, and inspire a diverse team of Software Engineers and QA specialists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging experimentation, excellence and knowledge sharing whilst championing a culture of collaboration, transparency, and accountability within your domain.
- **Product Alignment**: Collaborate with Product Management to align technical strategies with the product roadmap, ensuring the successful delivery of new features, enhancements, and products within your domain.
- **Technology Stack**: Continuously assess and optimise the technology stack within your domain, making informed decisions on tools and technologies that support scalability and performance.
- **Quality Assurance**: Implement and champion best practices in software development, quality assurance, and testing to ensure the delivery of robust, high-quality solutions.
- **Cross-functional Collaboration**: Collaborate seamlessly with stakeholders from Product, User Experience, Delivery, and Architecture to ensure effective cross-functional teamwork and successful execution within your domain.
- **Resource Management**: Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and roadmap planning within your domain, optimising the performance of your engineering team whilst working in close collaboration with Delivery Partners for resourcing flexibility.
- **Talent Development**: Attract, retain, and develop top engineering talent within your team, fostering career growth and skill development.

**Who you are**:

- An experienced servant leader with great communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.
- Experienced in engineering leadership roles, with a strong background in software development.
- Previous experience managing teams in a dynamic and challenging environment, ideally within an e-commerce organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with peers and key stakeholders.
- Proficient in agile methodologies with a strategic mindset and proactive attitude.
