**PURPOSE**:
The Terminology Coordinator is responsible for the Coordination of terminology creation, maintenance, correction and updating of the linguistic assets of IQVIA Translations Services (ITS). They work within the Vendor Management team.

Will be responsible to define, implement and overseethe terminology strategy to ensure ITS Translations and Localization projects are always supported with relevant and updated glossaries, Style Guides and reference materials.

Works collaboratively with Vendor Managers, Internal Linguists, Production and Delivery leaders to ensure Translation and Localization projects are delivered according to ITS’ standards, and with Country Owners, Clients and Translation Champions to ensure the ITS’ deliverables meet client requirements.

Maintains strong relationships within teams as well as with internal and external stakeholders, strategic partners and clients. Ensures that all ITS linguistic assets are updated and consistently available in all relevant platforms and repositories. Reports initiatives and results to Director of Vendor and Language Management and ITS Operations.

Their focus is quality and compliance. They take an active role in internal and external audits, working with Operational Excellence team, Language Managers and Project Team Leads to suggest and implement preventative actions for queries related to glossary use and adherence.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Proactively detect needs for glossary creation
- Define, implement and oversee the global terminology strategy, for a unified and consistent approach to terminology within ITS Operations.
- Oversee glossary updates
- Liaise with PM TLs or their teams for glossary creation projects
- Update Term bases
- Liaise with TMS dedicated IT teams in case of TM/ Term base-related issues and to coordinate Machine Translations Engine terminology maintenance and updates
- Train Internal Linguists, PMs and other colleagues on the efficient use of the linguistic assets and CAT tools.
- Oversee the creation and updates of Style Guides
- Liaise with Clients for ad hoc Style Guides creation requests
- Collaborate with Strategic Partners and assist them in relevant queries.
- Ensure all linguistic assets are compliant with ITS defined standards in terms of quality and compliance.
- Collaborate with Operational Excellence team to define and help implement CAPAs for quality assurance.
- Resolve and escalate issues in a professional and timely fashion.
- Maintain excellent relationships and ensure successful collaboration with internal/external clients/stakeholders and manage any escalations or issues that may arise effectively
- Comply with relevant and applicable ITS SOPs and quality standards
- Contribute with the creation of necessary ITS SOPs
- Work closely with other ITS staff and contribute actively to other ITS strategic initiatives as needed.

**REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS **AND** **ABILITIES**:

- Excellent written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem resolution skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results to the appropriate quality and time metrics
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, operations staff and clients.
- Strong presentation skills that enable them to effectively communicate to non-technical roles.

- Ability to innovatively solve problems with demonstrated success delivering desired results according to quality guidelines and timelines
- Be able to adapt to project needs and shift priorities regularly
- Excellent MS Office, MS Excel, TMS and CAT tools skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of Translations/Localization industry leading technology solutions
- Deep experience working with a leading TMS and CAT tool.
- Experience working with MemoQ and XTRF would be highly appreciated
- Experience working with reporting tools would be appreciated
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage competing priorities and changing demands
- Ability to follow instructions/guidelines, work independently and on own initiative
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in IQVIA as well as with clients with demonstrated cultural and emotional intelligence

**MINIMUM REQUIRED **EDUCATION** **AND** EXPERIENCE**:

- Bachelor's degree in a linguistic field
