Our Transactions Advisory team have established A&M as one of the leading providers of financial due diligence globally and the foremost team to develop a fulfilling career in Transaction Advisory.

TAG professionals specialize in providing financial and accounting buy-side and sell-side due diligence, capital markets and accounting advisory, global transaction analytics, ESG advisory and other related M&A services for Private Equity, Hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, corporate clients and Family offices around the world.

We are excited to announce that we have launched our Capital Markets Accounting Advisory (CMAA) team in Madrid. Our CMAA team is lead by a highly established Managing Director and is an integrated part of our established and highly successful global TAG practice. We are currently seeking a Senior Director for our CMAA team based in Madrid.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with our Managing Directors in Spain and across Europe on business development activities including thought leadership, proposals, pitches and networking.
- Lead large scale accounting advisory engagements and provide accounting support to clients, including implementation assistance with new accounting requirements and financial restatements.
- Assist with ESMA, SEC or FCA / other relevant authority regulatory filings for spin-offs, carve-outs, initial public offerings (IPO), debt offerings and other acquisition filings for both domestic and cross-border transactions.
- Deliver conversion services to clients requiring a change in their financial reporting to GAAP or IFRS.
- Provide transaction-oriented accounting and reporting assistance for M&A, divestitures, complex capital raising / restructures, financial instruments, revenue recognition and provide fresh-start accounting support to clients upon emergence from bankruptcy.
- Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in the Spanish and international Capital Markets community through the delivery of value-added client engagements.
- Support our Managing Directors to lead and develop the CMAA (Capital Markets Accounting Advisory) team including recruitment, mentoring and training team members.
- Actively contribute to business development by maintaining a strong professional network, identifying opportunities, proposing A&M services, negotiating terms and closing engagements.
- Lead cross-functional teams in delivering services to clients and presenting final client deliverables including timely and efficient product delivery.
- Lead and participate in practice building including, but not limited to recruitment and training, thought leadership and/or solution development.

The Person:

- Extensive experience within Capital Markets Accounting Advisory at a leading Accountancy firm.
- Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited university preferred.
- Current knowledge includes U.S. GAAP, IFRS, ESMA, SEC or FCA financial reporting issues, bankruptcies, M&A, business combinations, or financial restatements.
- Broad ranging experience in leading complex Accounting Advisory engagements combined with well-developed stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated business development skills including fostering a strong professional network, scoping opportunities, leading pursuits and negotiating terms.
- Excellent consulting skills: analytical, written and verbal communication, client presence, facilitation and presentation skills.
- Extensive experience in project management including planning, organizing, coordinating and managing staff, clients and/or partners towards the successful completion of a project.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed including international travel.
- Fluent business level English and Spanish is essential. Additional European language skills are highly desirable.
