In addition to its own products, BASF Española S.L. markets more than 5,000 products from the BASF Group: chemical, organic and inorganic products, catalysts; phytosanitary products, plastic materials, dispersions and raw materials for the inks, paints, plastics, paper, ceramics and cosmetics industry.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The indication manager has an important role within the ARS Experimental Station - Utrera, since that is the profesional accountable for the effective planning, co-ordination and execution of all research activities, like set up the protocols to support the different product phases like discovery, selection/justification and fine tunning, being the biological technical expert for assigned plant protection products and projects from ARS Experimental Station - Utrera.
- He/She is responsible for the good evaluation of all assigned trials, accurate data management, and reporting with fluency and frequent communication, preparing the adequate trial result reports and recommendations of further steps to project leaders and always encourages innovation at the station.
- Conducts laboratory, field and greenhouse trials which characterize the biological activity and properties of experimental and commercial plant protection compounds, for the assigned indication or projects.
- Ensures that the protocol and product sample arrives at adequate timing to the station.
- Maintains good communication with the various project leaders within APR and APE to ensure that the research objectives and priorities are well understood for the assigned trial program.
- Takes all measures to ensure that the trials are conducted with the appropriate methodology that allows an optimum differentiation between treatments and answers all research objectives.
- Prepares complete data reports and summaries, proposing recommendations and having frequent communications with Biology Project Leaders.
- Manages the selection of crop varieties, seeding, irrigation, climate factors in greenhouses, etc.
- Organizes and manages all of the necessary infestation promoting measures (seeding of weed species, inoculation of diseases, infestation, etc). Ensures an excellent status of the seed weed bank, disease bank or insect nursery.
- Leads the team to success. Ensures the mutual trust, respect and tolerance inside the team. Focuses on transparency and honesty. Promotes controversial and fair discussions.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Biology or similar academic background
- Several years of experience in Agricultural experimentation of phytosanitary product trials, preparation of scientific projects and reports and leading interdisciplinary agricultural projects
- Experience with Microsoft Office and statistical software (SPEAD ARM)
- Labor Risk Prevention Training Course
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
