Estimation Engineer

As an Estimation Engineer, you will collaborate with sales, solutions design, procurement and implementation teams, utilizing the latest cost methodologies to determine the cost of products, modules, and subsystems in a solution. You will generate the full system cost including lessons learnt and will be pivotal in sales negotiations and analysis of project variance requests.

**Tasks and Qualifications**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- _Utilize the latest cost methodologies to determine the cost of products, modules, and subsystems in a solution. _
- _Collaborate with implementation departments and factories as necessary to ensure the technical implementation aligns with cost estimates. _
- _Stay up-to-date with the latest estimating methodologies and rules. _
- _Regularly benchmark calculated costs and challenge the organization to improve. _
- _Assist in post-execution analysis of won project tenders and post-mortem analysis of lost project tenders. _
- _Identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate these to the Solution Project Manager. _
- _Participate in internal project meetings and facilitate effective collaboration among team members. _
- _Screen interfaces with third-party suppliers to ensure everything is foreseen. _
- _Create and support a collaborative approach within the business, generating close interaction with the commercial and implementation teams throughout the process. _
- _Attend internal review meetings with other departments, such as CE-compliance, installation and engineering, to capture the required adjustments to the solution. _
- _Work with the Solution Design team to optimize the layout for cost calculation. _
- _Assist the handover process to make sure ‘as sold’ and mission critical aspects are recognised, and scope/mission creep is minimised where possible and recorded where necessary. Leading to a clearer expectation of the customer at the point of handover. _
- _Ensure compliance with the commercial process taking both the customer and internal milestones in mind. _
- _Communicate project progress and updates to stakeholders and team members regularly within the defined channels. _

**Skills & Capabilities**:

- _Strong in the following traits: self-motivation, effective analytical skills, attention to detail and have a 'getting things done' mindset. _
- _Ability to work under pressure, managing projects priorities with tight timelines. _
- _You are communicative and are fluent in English (C1 or higher). Knowledge of other languages is a plus. _
- _You can work fluently with Project, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint. _
- _Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus. _

**Experience Desired**:

- _Knowledge of the materials handling market and its trends _
- _Knowledge of warehouse and mechanised/automated systems operations _
- _Knowledge of customer buying behaviour of automated material handling solutions _
- _Experience of presentations to/interacting with customers at different levels within a business structure (Operators, Maintenance Engineers, Buyers, CEO’s etc) _
- _Experience working in an international team collaboration environment _
- _3 years experience as an estimator / project team member within the material handling industry _
- _Fluent English Level (C1 or higher) _
- _Valid driving licence in accordance with the national laws and company policy _

**Education & Certifications**:

- _You have a degree in maths, science, engineering or a comparable professional qualification._
