Couchbase Database Engineer

IDT is looking for a rock star** Database Engineer** to join our database services team. If you are highly motivated, ambitious, ready to learn and make a direct impact, this is your opportunity
The individual in this role will perform database analysis, design and administration functions to deliver on strategic projects specific to organizational goals.
**Responsibilities**:
- Working with developers for designing database objects and SQL queries.
- Performance monitoring.
- Cluster Software installation, configuration, patches, upgrades.
- Own database changes, tuning and managing XDCR.
- Backup and recovery.
- On call 24/7 support with other team members.
**Required Skills**:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Couchbase Database administration in a production environment.
- Experience with Couchbase clusters, XDCR, optimizing Couchbase queries and indexes, services like Query, Index, Data.
- Good knowledge and experience in Couchbase Troubleshooting, object design and backup / recovery.
- Ability to handle 99.9% uptime and 24/7 support.
- Experience with database clusters hosted on Linux.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or equivalent with a minimum of 6-8 years of overall database administration experience.
**Nice to have**:
- Prior experience with MongoDB / MySQL / PostgreSQL / Oracle.
- Experience with Amazon RDS platform.
- Prior experience with System / Network administration.
