**Function Overview**:
The Planet technology team is driving the modernization of the core infrastructure that is revolutionizing how the global hospitality, retail and connected commerce industry operates. We work with the latest technologies using modern design, development, and delivery practices. Our teams excel at being on the forefront of transforming the connected commerce industry.

**Role Overview**:
As a Director of Security GRC, you have a unique ability to solve problems and work with business from the earliest visions and strategy to delivery
You will deliver transformative projects which enhance maturity, define strategy, solve technology issues, optimize business processes, provide assurance, strengthen controls, reduce security risk, and enable new secure ways of working
We are looking for people who understand how to design and implement security improvement and monitoring strategies. The ability to move Planet to a secure future state through control assessment, risk management, effective governance and impactful strategy is a core requirement

**What you will do**:
You have delivered a range of medium to large security and GRC related projects. You have a strong understanding of strategy, governance, controls, security principles, architecture, technologies, and current security trends
You have commercial experience through owning and delivering RfPs. You can lead projects, manage individuals, oversee multiple deliveries, and complete business development activities to a client-facing standard
You can demonstrate SME knowledge in a couple of technical control domains and have notable strength in an area of GRC e.g., Security Risk Management, Network Controls and Governance, DLP etc. You also have enhanced experience in defined industry sectors such as Financial Services or Legal
Accountable for developing a team of highly engaged Information Security professionals who have responsibility for ensuring the business remains compliant with its customers, regulatory, and shareholder obligations
Define, execute, and continuously improve a measured risk management process across all areas of the business to identify, assess, and proactively manage, mitigate, and predict any future information security risks
Define and maintain the controls catalogue for all security controls and assess their effectiveness, and make recommendations for control improvement
Accountable for the Information Security Management System which must demonstrate at all times full compliance with internal security requirements and external certification, regulatory, and contractual requirements
Demonstrate mature governance, risk, and Compliance capability to enable a sustainable business
Building strong working relationships with all internal and external stakeholders, influencing where necessary

**Who you are**:
Bachelor’s degree preferred alongside relevant technical qualifications (e.g., CISSP or equivalent)
Demonstrable experience acting as a leader in information security, risk management, and governance role, with accountability for defining and developing a culture of governance and risk management
Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and an understanding of IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS delivery models; and an understanding of standard industry cyber security frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO, etc
You are passionate about driving IT effectiveness
Solutions focused; you possess strong commercial acumen coupled with a strategic awareness
Ability to thrive in a fast pace ambitious environment
