To develop research activities in the field of photoelectrochemistry for the generation of H2/O2 and/or derivatives of CO2 photoelectroreduction.

Synthesise and characterise photoelectrocatalytic materials on a laboratory scale.

Work on the treatment and analysis of results/data obtained in the development of laboratory tasks.

To guide final year and master's degree students.

Collaborate with other research groups inside and outside the CIIAE.

Participate in the development of research projects within the group.

Participate in group meetings and write research progress reports.

Actively participate in the writing of original scientific articles and/or review/protocol or method papers for publication in high impact journals. You should publish 1 article per year.

To be valued:
Previous experience with various diffraction, microscopy and spectroscopy techniques for structural and microstructural characterisation, such as X-ray diffraction, SEM, TEM, EDS, AFM, Raman, UV-Vis, FT-IR, NMR, among others.

Experience in diffraction, microscopy and spectroscopy techniques for structural and microstructural characterisation, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray energy dispersive microanalysis (EDS), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Raman and FT-IR spectroscopy, among others.

Experience with surface techniques (e.g. FTIR, RAMAN, etc).

Knowledge of energy technologies, including renewables, storage, hydrogen and conversion of energy into fuels.
- Academic publications as first author or co-author in Scopus-indexed journals will be highly v Knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese.

**Requisitos**
BSc and MSc degrees in materials science, electrochemistry, chemistry, physics, engineering or related fields.

Professional experience not required.

Knowledge of specific techniques:

- First learning or previous experience in catalytic materials synthesis
- Previous work experience or apprenticeship in electrochemical techniques.
- Theoretical knowledge or previous experience in relevant photoelectrochemical characterisation techniques, such as current and voltage measurements, spectroscopy (transient absorption spectroscopy, impedance spectroscopy), among others.
- Experience in experimental laboratory work, e.g. design of an experimental protocol.
- Knowledge of energy technologies, including renewables, storage, hydrogen and power-to-X.
- Good oral and written skills in English
