**Main duties and responsibilities**:
- Attend patients in Hospital Clinic’s Travel Clinic, and when needed in health facilities located in countries in Sub Saharan Africa or Latin America.
- Lead the design and development of strategic research projects including clinical studies (epidemiologic and clinical trials) and obtain grant funding in the field of Neglected Tropical Diseases.
- Lead the activities of research studies, particularly clinical trials, including ensuring all study procedures are of good quality and are carried out per good clinical practices.
- Publish scientific manuscripts in international peer-reviewed journals.
- Supervise personnel to coordinate research efforts for increased efficiency; participate in the training of pre-doctoral fellows, residents, students, and volunteer workers as needed.
**Experience and training**:
Essential Requirements:
- Medical Doctor.
- Experience in the preparation and execution of research studies, particularly clinical trials.
- Experience and knowledge on issues related to Global Health.
- Expertise in epidemiology, Neglected Tropical Diseases or related fields will be highly evaluated
- Additional profiles will be considered if highly motivated researchers in other related disciplines.
Desirable:
- PhD
- Previous experience conducting clinical trials according to ICH-GCP.
- Practical experience in health research in low-resources settings.
- Record of obtaining research funding and publishing in peer-reviewed journals
**Languages and others**:
- Fluent in English
- Spanish proficiency.
- Availability to travel.
**Salary and conditions**:
- The conditions will be agreed according to training and experience. Approximate start-date in May 2024.

**SELECTION PROCESS**:
The selection process is designed in two phases:
1- Interview phase of a technical nature, with the team that requires the incorporation. To assess the person's skills and CV.
2 - Meeting with HR with the finalist(s) to finish assessing the profile and discuss contractual and institutional issues.
If needed any technical test could be pass. A Psychological Competency Evaluation Test will be required for the structural or transversal positions.
