The location of this position is in the Hyperion M&T site in Martorelles, Barcelona.

**Job Summary
Hyperion Materials & Technologies is looking for a Lean Engineer **to boost to the next level the Continuous Improvement and Lean Processes **in the Barcelona’s Production Unit. We are looking for a dynamic individual that has a desire to be engaged in transforming processes within our facility while **leading change ** This position will work closely with all departments and with the Business Unit Continuous Improvement team. You will be part of a young team that enjoy using Lean methodologies to improve both the manufacturing and information processes, so the customer satisfaction can be increased while improving the efficiency of our processes thanks to waste ( _muda _) removal.

Main responsibilities for this position will include:

- Support the Lean Manager on the Continuous Improvement Savings (CIS) program.
- Responsible to generate new ideas for the Lean Funnel and CIS program.
- To lead Lean Projects such as Value Stream Map Projects.
- Key role on helping the Lean Manager to lead the Kaizen Process and Kaizen Funnel of the Production Unit.
- Key role on helping the Lean Manager to develop the Daily Management Process.
- Ownership of the Lean Processes in the Production Unit.
- To facilitate Kaizen Events using different Lean Tools such as SMED, 6S, Standard Work or VSM.
- Responsible of all the deliverables needed when facilitating a Kaizen Event (Pre-work, Kaizen Guide, Report Out )
- To lead Six Sigma and standardization projects.
- To lead Problem Solving activities using different tools like 5Whys, Ishikawa Diagram, TPI, VRP or Noise to Constant.
- Develop educational material and provide training as needed on Lean and continuous improvement.
- Lead and supervise process improvement activities on the manufacturing floor.
- Understand and use Lean concepts and process tools in work functions.
- To be a change agent.

**Ideal Employee Profile**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operational Management, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in Lean Manufacturing or similar position (process engineer, project engineer, production engineer )
- Experience leading projects (ideally Lean or Continuous Improvement related).
- Knowledge in the Daily Management and Kaizen Process.
- Strong Continuous improvement culture and Lean Methods (6S, SMED, VSM, TPM, 3P, Kanban or Standard Work).
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a cross functional team environment.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects keeping accurate documentation and records.
- Problem-Solving Skills (5Whys, Ishikawa diagram, Noise to Constant ).
- Clear thinking and solid prioritization skills.
- Solid team building and facilitation skills.
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in PC skills; CAD (AutoCAD +), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel etc.), Minitab
- Self-starter, highly motivated, works with urgency.
- High technical competency.
- Project Management skills.
- 10% of the time on company business trips
