**Job description**:
Smilegate Barcelona are looking to add a Senior Vegetation & Photogrammetry Artist to their talented team and help build the foundation of the asset library that will be used to build Smilegate’s worlds.
Working alongside the Lead Prop Artist and in collaboration with Art Direction and Tech Art, you will acquire and process scan data to be used by the Level Artists and Material Artists and build the foundation of all biome’s assets library.
You will be a part of a small team that drives their look development and sets the quality bar for the rest of the team and be the owner of the game’s biomes creation. With your help, and by following their Art Direction guidelines and with the support of the Tech Art Team that will provide tools to process all scans data for you, they will push the industry to new heights of realism with their photogrammetry pipeline, gameplay, and storytelling

**Your responsibilities**
- Gather, process, and refine scan data to craft beautiful, photorealistic environments library
- Help guide pipelines and define best practices for working with photogrammetry content
- Create immersive and high quality vegetations assets for all directed biomes
- Travel to scan locations, terrain, materials, and props
- Collaborate with the other Level Artists, helping them utilize scan data to efficiently build realistic, motivated environments
- Work with the Lead Prop Artist to create and maintain their scan library, from organizing source images to final content in editor
- Iterate to improve your work based on feedback from your lead and directors
- Write and curate the Photogrammetry Pipeline Documentation and vegetations creation
- Work with the Tech Art Lead to implement all technical guidelines link to vegetations creation
- As a Senior you should be able to mentor, guide and motivate other artists on the team
- Occasionally support Lead in recruitment projects with HR collaboration

**The skills and experience you’ll bring to the role**
- 6 years experience in AAA video games with at least one AAA shipped title to your name
- Deep understanding of photogrammetry workflows, including equipment, capture, delighting, processing, and cleanup
- Highly skilled in Blender, 3DsMax, Maya, SpeadTree, substance and Reality Capture (or similar software)
- Deep knowledge of physical cameras and how aperture, shutter speed, and focal length work together
- Understanding of texture art creation and unwrapping assets for tiling, 0-1, and trim textures
- Understanding of modular world building and how to modify scan data to cater to these workflows (organic and architectural)
- Bonus points if you have experience of
- Capture techniques - Photometric Stereo, Lidar, Drones, etc
- Display calibration and HDR colour grading
- Layered Material workflows
