**The opportunity**:

We're in the exciting process of developing a game-changing SaaS solution, and our cloud infrastructure is the heart of it all. And we are looking for a passionate Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing SRE team. As the leader of this diverse group of engineers, your goal is to ensure that our platforms are robust and dependable, like a professional athlete, and that they function flawlessly, like a morning yoga routine.
As our **Engineering Manager - SRE **(working from Malaga or Valencia), your primary duty is to ensure the well-being of the people you assist. You will ensure they are growing as engineers, delivering healthy technology, and generally having a great time at Urban Sports Club. A proven technology background is vital to challenge your team members to be their best. You can influence the culture, facilitate technical delivery and work with your team on strategy and execution.
**Your responsibilities**:
- Build, lead, and serve a team of engineers at Urban Sports Club through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development
- Support timely delivery of technical solutions to address business needs
- Advocate and advance modern, agile engineering practices and help develop and evangelise excellent engineering and organisational practices
- Reinforce a healthy, collaborative engineering culture
- Grow the technical expertise of your team
- Facilitate collaboration with other engineers, product managers, and designers to solve challenging problems that affect all at Urban Sports Club
**What you need to succeed**:
- You love developing and growing people and have experience leading, coaching, or mentoring individuals and teams
- You're passionate about software engineering best practices and love to have an impact on large-scale tech problems
- You have proven experience working in an agile development environment with complicated and ambitious business requirements
- You strive to build capabilities that deliver a great, safe, and trusted experience to our internal customers and Urban Sports Club users
- You have a great understanding and working knowledge of building scalable, Service Oriented Architectures
- You are a humble leader who can motivate a team and drive them to their full potential
- You have experience managing small to medium-sized teams of software engineers on large-scale, cloud-based projects
- You have excellent organisation, prioritisation, and communication skills
