**Your field of responsibility**

Join us and take up an exciting position working as a Wealth Management (WM) Senior Lawyer at Credit Suisse AG Sucursal en España (“CSSE”). As a WM Senior Lawyer in the General Counsel division (“GC”) in Madrid, your responsibilities include:
- Providing proactive and solution-orientated legal advice and support to CSSE and the various Wealth Management (WM) businesses in Spain, with a focus on MiFID, ESG, SRD2, collective investment schemes and other financial services regulations.
- Day-to-day guidance and advice in relation to the structuring and execution of specific transactions, existing laws and regulations and regulatory developments; analyzing legal questions and advising on legal risks arising in the operating businesses and other areas of the bank.
- Drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation.
- Partnering and effective collaboration with all business teams and other corporate functions.
- Handling the retention and on-going relationship with outside counsel and other external legal service providers.
- Support with regulatory change initiatives in collaboration with all business teams and other corporate functions.
- Ensuring appropriate collaboration with WM General Counsel teams in Head Office and the international locations.

**Your future colleagues**:
Group GC provides strategic legal and regulatory advice to the Group Board of Directors and the Executive Board. Group GC is also responsible for all litigation and for all corporate legal matters on a Group and Divisional level. It provides oversight of and mentorship to the Divisional GCs, and conducts investigations, beyond a certain materiality and for major relevance, and has the lead on enforcement matters. Group GC sets and maintains group-wide legal risk frameworks and monitors, assesses and influences substantial political, social and environmental developments and issues affecting the bank as well as clients.

The role of the Wealth Management General Counsel at CSSE is to act as a trusted advisor to the business. We play a crucial role in supporting and protecting the WM division in Spain in their transactions and strategic aims. We provide legal and regulatory advice to the different WM Spain teams as well as and coordinate with other GC Divisions.
You will work in the Wealth Management General Counsel team in Madrid and have significant contact mainly with Zurich and also with London and other locations as hubs for General Counsel resources.

**Your skills and experience**
- Fully qualified Spanish lawyer. Specific other qualifications, such as a Postgraduate Academic Degree in Banking Law (LL.M.) would be an advantage.
- We would like you to contribute an experience of at least 8 years in an international law firm or an international bank.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- We would love if you were a self-starter and forward-thinking professional with ability to work with autonomy.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment with many timely demands from internal business clients, with the required flexibility to adapt to the different needs of the department.
- You contribute unusual analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of private banking products and services and the legal documentation pertaining to them, expertise in relevant Spanish and EU financial regulations.
