The Digital Patient Health & Innovation function is part of Digital Health R&D and works across 4 key areas by defining our digital health strategies, developing and deploying novel endpoints as well as digital patient solutions to support our full R&D clinical development and commercial drug portfolios in partnership with R&D and IT teams. Our mission is to:

- Transform clinical development, through development of patient and site centric digital solutions that improve access to clinical trials for all patients, whilst delivering faster and more efficiently for both site and sponsor
- Improve outcomes for our patients and trials through remote data collection and patient support, providing enriched data sets to support regulatory submissions and differentiated labelling
- Partner with the healthcare industry to determine how digital technologies can improve diagnosis, access to treatments and outcomes for patients with CKD, Heart Failure and COPD, including remote diagnosis tools and multi-modal healthcare data and AI approaches
- Optimise real world medication use by patients and deliver digital interventions to improve clinical outcomes with our medicines

The Senior Director DCT will be responsible for development of strategies and product development related to the end-to-end service for Decentralized Clinical trials, hybrids or full DCT. This role is responsible for an updated landscape for DCT and required technology including aspects like direct to patient deliveries and eConsent. DTP includes IMP, medical devices and other auxiliary equipment required for the execution of a clinical study. In this role you will lead a team of Product Owner/managers as well as process specialists and implementation specialists to deliver an end-to-end service for studies using DCT in close collaboration with other product teams and Unify team specifically.

This role will also have a view of the regulatory landscape and enablement of DCT components across different geographies.

**Your key accountabilities will be**:

- Understand and convert business strategies to product strategies and technical requirement
- Responsible for developing the Product strategy and convert this to a updated product roadmap related to DCT and propose strategic changes in a timely manner.
- Responsible for stimulating conceptual thinking and creativity and challenging the status quo for continuous improvement.
- Develop and propose new business cases for DCT related products or services
- Coach and develop Product Managers/Owners, Implementation Leads and Process specialist to deliver high quality products and services aligned with business needs.
- Collaborate with SMEs to drive innovations in DCT area and how these technologies can transform clinical study design and delivery.
- Work closely with Product Managers/Owners within Unify as well as other products in Digital Health.
- Deliver effective recommendations for prioritisation regarding the product backlog items in order to deliver maximum outcome with minimum input in line with business priorities.
- Act as a change agent during the global roll-out of new technologies - embed new tools and technologies into the business and measure success.
- Provide leadership for those leading the day-to-day implementation of new tools through to completion.
- Interact with TA leads for Digital strategies on TA and DA level
- In depth understanding of technology and regulatory landscape and other DPS solutions related to DCT
- Take on all aspects of Line Management including Recruit, Retain & Develop personnel and Manage performance including feedback and rewards
- Resource planning and assignment of task in group
- Support DPS Product LT with input and develop the Product development capabilities in the organization
- Ensure quality and compliance to External Regulations and AZ Standards

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years relevant Pharma experience
