**What You'll Do**:
**Summary**:
We are looking for a Cloud Architect to join our Cloud Operations Team.

The Cloud Architect interprets business and technical requirements to create an infrastructure design for products and services hosted on our platform. In addition, you will provide technical leadership and overall direction for existing and new services and game infrastructure.

In addition to security best practices, design and architectural knowledge, you must have solid communication skills, including stakeholder and relationship management and have a consultative approach. The ability to be hands-on technically and engage effectively with non-technical and senior stakeholders is an important part of this key role.

**Requirements**:

- “Professional Cloud Architect” certification from Google, or an equivalent from another cloud provider
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect; and previous experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer, or equivalent
- Experience in project management and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Experience with high-performance infrastructure (e.g. gaming, finance, science, etc)
- Demonstrate knowledge of configuration management tools e.g. Terraform, Ansible
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in production environments
- Understand principles such as microservices, CI/CD
- Security best practice and identity management
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Organizational and leadership skills
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or adequate experience in the field.

- Able to produce detailed designs and documentation using company standards
- Able to present those designs to a technical audience
- Naturally curious with a boldness to pursue aspirations as a committed lifelong learner
- You have great interpersonal skills and are able to communicate effectively with your team members and other teams across the business
- Good organisational and prioritising skills
- You are flexible, team-oriented and willing to work in a very fast-paced environment
- Allergic to manual, repetitive tasks with a desire to remove Toil
- Obsesses over systems performance and values simplicity over complexity.
