**The Role**:
Abacum is seeking a talented engineer who possesses infinite curiosity and a great drive. You will partner with the founding team, product, and design to create groundbreaking technology that truly improves how teams work and collaborate.

You will have the amazing opportunity to build a strong DevOps culture in an extremely agile environment, avoid bureaucracy and overhead, have your work directly impact product and users, and also work hand-in-hand with a senior and world-class tech team.

**Mission**:

- Design and implement our systems to be efficient, scalable, accountable, and secure.
- Tooling enabling our delivery teams to be autonomous while providing best practices (security, conventions, observability, etc).
- Deploy and manage both Iaas and Paas services.
- Develop and drive real-time observability solutions that provide visibility into system health.
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on operations and cloud security best practices.
- Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve development delivery CI/CD
- Ability to develop and implement security measures related to the development processes and operational needs driven by our security and compliance team
- Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
- Build and scale our Kubernetes clusters and lambda based workloads
- Manage and scale our cloud databases
- Incident Management Framework definition and implementation.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.

- Versatile (4x4)hands-on doer at ease from engineering strategy to low-level details, comfortable in early-stage, starter attitude
- Your proven expertise in cloud services/solutions will help us focus on providing value to our customers
- Deep knowledge of cloud systems, especially AWS
- Strong proficiency in Iaas
- Strong proficiency in building and scaling Kubernetes clusters
- Strong proficiency in architecting monitoring systems
- Experience setting up and monitoring cloud-based databases (AWS RDS and Redshift is a plus)
- Experience working with microservices design and observability (Service Meshes)

**Bonus Points if you have...**:
