Mechanical Workshop Technician

The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Mechanical Workshop Technician to work in the Mechanical Workshop in the Reaction Technologies Department.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Design of new pieces and setups using Solid Works software.
- Test materials and develop conditions in the 3Dprinting machines.
- Fabricate new pieces using both techniques: additive fabrication & mechanization.
- Small laboratory equipment repairs.
- Help in the organization of the workshop.

**Requirements**:

- Advanced Technicians in specific professional training (Advanced Training in Design for the Mechanical Manufacturing and/or Production for the Mechanization and/or Automation and Industrial robotics).
- Imaginative, creative and curious person.
- Problem solving oriented.
- Fluent in Catalan and/or Spanish and with a good level of spoken English.

**Valued qualities**:

- Previous experience mechanizing.
- Wide knowledge of tools and accessories.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.

- A permanent full-time contract.

- Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments

Tècnic de taller mecànic (Ref: Technician 2023-07)

L'Institut Català d'Investigació Química (ICIQ) busca un tècnic de taller mecànic per treballar al taller mecànic del departament de tecnologies de la reacció.

**Tasques i responsabilitats**:

- Disseny de noves peces i muntatges mitjançant el programari Solid Works.
- Test de materials i desenvolupament de condicions d’impressió a les màquines d'impressió 3D.
- Fabricació de noves peces utilitzant les dues tècniques: fabricació additiva i mecanització.
- Reparacions de petits equips de laboratori. Ajuda en l'organització del taller.

**Requisits**:

- Tècnic Superiors en formació professional específica (Formació Avançada en Disseny per a la Fabricació Mecànica i/o Producció per a la Mecanització i/o Automatització i Robòtica Industrial) "Tècnic/a Superior de Formació Professional (Grau Superior de Disseny per a la Fabricació Mecànica i/o Grau Superior de Producció per a Mecànica i/o Grau Superior en Automatització i Robòtica Industrial)"
- Persona imaginativa, creativa i curiosa
- Persona orientada a la resolució de problemes
- Es requereix un nívell avançat català i castellà (escrit i parlat) i un nívell mig d’anglès.
