**IT Controlling Analyst**

For our Management Accounting and Controlling department, we are looking for a dynamic **IT Controlling Analyst **in our** **global **Enabling Functions Controlling Hub **in Barcelona.

The Enabling Functions Controlling Hub performs Controlling activities and Business Partnering globally for different Enabling Functions.

As an Analyst for IT Controlling, you are the overall global responsible for Master Data Governance for all IT financials, which is pre-requisite and backbone of the financial steering of the IT function. You work in an international virtual team based in Germany, the US and Barcelona.

CORE is a multi-year, strategic Business-led, IT-enabled global program that brings all 3 Bayer divisions (Pharma, Consumer Health and CropScience) together to drive, enable and activate the end-to-end transformation of our businesses through simplification of our processes and enabling IT systems.

**In this role you will be responsible to**:

- Steer and exercise master data governance across IT (approx. 20.000 active cost objects worldwide) incl. CORE project and further develop and improve master data management, tools and financial steering principles
- Act as main contact for Global Functional Accounting, Management Accounting GPOs as well as Management Accounting Operations to ensure regular flow of communication on important changes in global processes and tools
- Act as main contact for IT and CORE with regards to master data management tools and processes, incl. provision of an up-to-date data base on existing cost objects and related master data
- Collect and consolidate master data change requests across IT in order to ensure efficient feeding of existing master data management processes handled by Global Functional Accounting, e.g. cost object change requests and closure of Purchase Order commitments
- Continuously review, proactively improve and further standardize already established master data management processes based on internal business requirements, e.g. intercompany invoicing for IT capitalized projects (CAPEX)
- Perform quality checks, ensure adherence to existing master data principles and initiate master data clean-ups where necessary

You are also involved and perform financial tasks beyond master data management for IT, e.g.:

- IT Controlling and CORE related topics
- Actuals reporting, forecasting and budgeting processes
- Financial projects for Enabling Functions beyond IT
- Ad-hoc analyses

Collaboration and alignment with senior stakeholders make very strong stakeholder management skills a must for this position.

In performing this role, you are part of Bayer’s global Corporate Controlling team, of the global IT Controlling team and represent IT Controlling towards other key stakeholders such as Functional Accounting, colleagues in IT and project managers.

**We would expect from you**:

- University degree in Economics / completed Master of Business Administration or equivalent studies in economics / management
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Controlling / Finance, preferably with focus on master data management
- Ability to work in digital environment and virtual teams
- Customer centric mindset
- Strong and trustful team player
- Understanding of master data management standards and methodologies is an advantage
- Uses Data Analytics and other digital tools to provide insights to support better decision making (SAP, Analysis for Office, Tableau, Power BI, e.g.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work with people from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds
- Business English: fluent in spoken and written
