Talend is seeking a commercially minded, bi-lingual / multi-lingual (English and a European Language such as Spanish or German) Commercial Counsel to provide support for the Commercial Legal Team primarily in EMEA with additional support in other regions as needed. You’ll be joining a rapidly growing, cutting-edge technology company, who are a leader in our space, and in a high growth industry.

As Counsel, you will support a wide range of commercial contracts, able to effectively collaborate with Talend’s various internal teams and external clients, which may include Sales, Channels, Partners, Product, R&D, Business Development, Finance, InfoSec, and IT.

You'll be someone who is able to prioritise effectively and drive issues to resolution in a team environment focused on growth, execution, efficiency, and process improvement. Corporate Counsel must provide a pragmatic, collaborative and solution-oriented legal support throughout the company.

Ideally, you will be in your first or second legal role since qualifying and now looking for a new challenge and maybe a step up into the role of Commercial Counsel from an Associate level.

- Able to manage multiples workloads, client demands and shifting priorities simultaneously within sometimes overlapping deadlines.

**What you'll know**:

- A qualified legal counsel with a degree in Law is essential. A post-graduate degree in IP, IT, Contracts or Business Law is a plus.
- You must have 2-6 years of in-house experience at an international technology business with relevant technology transactions, with a focus on drafting and negotiating licensing and technology transaction agreements (SaaS) and related professional services contracts.
- Demonstrated primary and professional proficiency in English (Essential) with the addition of full professional proficiency in either Spanish or German at a business level, able to draft and negotiate contracts in the second language.

**What you will do**:

- Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including outbound software license and SaaS subscription agreements, professional services, data privacy agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other operational and commercial contracts.
- Provide advice and counsel to the business team leaders on all legal matters affecting the area of coverage, in consultation with other members of the Legal team and applicable stakeholders.
- Proactively establish relationships with internal clients to support key strategic initiatives and improve how legal services are provided throughout the Talend group of companies.
- Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of the products and objectives of business operations.
- Lead or assist the Legal team's efforts in the preparation, implementation and refinement of forms, templates, fallback clauses, processes, and procedures.
