**Job Title**:MLRO

**Job Type**:Part-time during Authorisation process, Full-time after the license is obtained

**Location**: Remote, Spain based

A payments fintech has established a new company in Spain to get the EMI license. For the authorization with the Banco de España, they are looking to hire an MLRO.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform the responsibilities of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO)
- Oversight (and development, if needed) of all Compliance policies, procedures and internal controls ensuring these are properly documented.
- Deal with Banco de España and in an open and co-operative way and disclose to the regulator appropriately anything relating to the firm which the Banco de España would reasonably expect to notice.
- Represent the firm to all external agencies, e.g. regulators or law enforcement agencies, and in any other third party enquiries in relation to money laundering prevention, investigation or compliance.
- Promptly respond to any reasonable request for information from the regulator and/or law enforcement agencies.
- Communicating with banks in cases when they would like to discuss segregation account.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma holder
- 2-3 years of experience in financial services compliance, in payments or bank industry
- Knowledge of payments regulatory frameworks and/or regulations
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills; global collaborator with strong communications skills
- Good knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework of Spanish financial services, industry trends and best practice
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop strong relationships internally and with third parties
- Experience of Framework/policy/procedures drafting in a Compliance environment.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Previous compliance experience in Electronic Money institutions. (preferred)
- Spain resident

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: 60,000.00€ - 90,000.00€ per year
